In this guide, I’ll walk you through everything you need to know to make closing day smooth and stress-free.
This document outlines your final loan terms, closing costs, and monthly payments. You should receive this at least three days before closing—take the time to review it carefully to avoid any surprises.
Before signing, make sure:
✅ The home is in the same condition as when you made the offer
✅ Any agreed-upon repairs have been completed
✅ Nothing has been removed that should have stayed (light fixtures, appliances, etc.)
Make sure you have: Government-issued ID (driver’s license or passport)
Homeowners insurance policy
Cashier’s check or wire transfer details for the down payment & closing costs
Expect to sign a lot of documents, including:
