The Fear That Almost Stopped Me

When I first started in real estate at 20, I was terrified — and I don’t say that lightly. Phone anxiety, lead generation, social pressure — all of it hit at once. I had just stepped out of college and into one of the most social and competitive industries in the world.

As someone naturally introverted, the idea of cold-calling strangers or networking at open houses was nerve-wracking. I wasn’t just learning contracts and listings; I was learning how to show up — confidently, consistently, and authentically.

From Doubt to Determination

I remember being that shy 20-year-old walking around with business cards, trying to spread the word to family, friends, and anyone who would listen. It was discouraging when people didn’t take me seriously. Some doubted me simply because of my age or lack of experience.

But that’s when I realized something powerful: confidence comes from preparation.
When you study your craft, ask questions, and surround yourself with mentors, people can’t help but respect your knowledge.

I owe much of my growth to my incredible broker, Peter Mancini, and the Pen Realty team. Through their guidance, I learned that real estate isn’t just about sales — it’s about service, empathy, and integrity.

Faith Over Fear

Confidence didn’t happen overnight. It came through countless moments of fear — and choosing faith instead.

When I first started creating content on social media, that same hesitation resurfaced. What will people think? What if no one cares?
But I’ve learned that fear and faith cannot live in the same space.

Every time I post, meet a new client, or walk into a showing, I remind myself: I didn’t come this far to hide now.

Real estate has taught me that growth begins at the edge of discomfort. Whether it’s cold calling, networking, or showing up online — courage compounds.

Finding Purpose at Pen Realty
